I was born and raised in Wrexham in a Welsh-speaking family.
From the day I was born, my Mum and Dad raised me to appreciate value of public service and were very active in our community.
They drove me to work hard and get the best education I could. I attended Ysgol Morgan Llwyd and graduated from Cardiff University before training to become a social worker.
For the next 27 years I worked as a Child Protective Social Worker, working to protect vulnerable children at home and abroad, before returning to Wales in 2012. Having first moving to Welshpool, I now live in Hay-on-Wye with my husband Patrick and our rescue dog Arthur.
I passionately believe Mid & West Wales is one of the most beautiful places in the world and I care deeply about supporting our many diverse communities in all corners of our region.
I am standing for the Senedd because I want to stand up for everyone in our community that feels let down and forgotten about by those in power.
Across Wales ordinary families, businesses and farmers are struggling to make ends meet. The pandemic has put a huge strain on everyone's livelihoods and as we emerge from the pandemic we must ensure no one is left behind.
But even before the pandemic we were seeing communities across Wales lose vital community facilities such as Post Offices, banks, and shops. A lack of decent public transport links and the rise of online retailers has put pressure on our high streets like never before.
We must Put Recovery First and ensure we build back better.
That is why I am working with Welsh Liberal Democrats across Mid & West Wales to champion our communities and give them a strong voice in Cardiff Bay.
Together, we can support local businesses, expand mental health services, build more genuinely affordable homes, take action to tackle the climate emergency, and continue the great work of Kirsty Williams in supporting our children's education.
If this is a vision for Wales that you want see happen, then please give both your votes to the Welsh Liberal Democrats this May.
