Jane Dodds MS raised the issue of Powys Council’s plans to close 11 schools in the Senedd today, responding to the latest claims by the administration as justification for the school closures.
Commenting on the Ministers response, Jane Dodds MS said: “The Education Minister was clear – small rural schools can deliver the curriculum.
“The Conservative-Independent administration latest claims that the school closure programme in part because they could not deliver the curriculum, is therefore wrong. It is no more than a distraction intended to give the Council further cover for closing local schools.
“Powys parents and pupils deserve better.”
